Working progressively to do the very best for our families, staff and our local community we are listed amongst the best nurseries in Birmingham having achieved a 4th Outstanding Grade from Ofsted.

Personally, I have an extensive history of childcare experience since qualifying as an N.N.E.B. at 18, working in Education and Social Care settings, moving onto Neonatal Care at the Women's Hospital.

We build the nursery in 1989 and have been open ever since.

Continuing to study I was very proud to achieve B.A. Hons. In Early Childhood Education in 2011 from Newman University. Enabling me to be our Working Graduate Leader level 6. I am supported continuously by Chloe who is my daughter and studying her Foundation Degree, level 5 and is a very competent deputy and leads in many areas of our success. Chloe is also our SENCO at the setting and supports children needing additional support.

We are registered for 21 children ages 1 to 5 years and have a continuous waiting list, and reputation of high quality child care. I am a pro-active manager, leading the blue group which is ages 1 to 2-year old's, we have a high ratio of staff with a high level of retention. I employ 6 members of staff, level 6, 5, and 3. We have a level 2 apprentice who is currently continuing her level 3 training with us and counted member of our team after and is considered competent by myself and the training mentor.

We have a full time cook who is level 2 in food and hygiene also who will have achieved some childcare training so they can assist in the play and learning areas.

Graham, my husband keeps Tiddlywinks in tip top condition and is always ready to support our enabling environment, creating our allotment area and many additions to our fabulous setting.

We have two children, Trevor our son, and Chloe our daughter. Chloe who works at Tiddlywinks and is leading in our progression with Makaton and supporting children with additional needs. We are proud grandparents to Dominic, Emily and Jasper all who attended Tiddlywinks and are growing up into beautiful children with happy memories of their early years.

Both Graham and myself and Chloe are committed to Tiddlywinks and recognise the support we have had from Birmingham Early Years Development Team, S.E.N.C.O, our local Networking Team and of course our families who use us and a wonderful staff. Thank you
